Poems to Become Infatuated With

All the Ways I Find Her Beautiful

She’s been places
And seen things,
Her own unique set
Of arbitrary circumstances met
With the irreproachability of youth.
Many, many spaces
And time spent brings
An inimitable collection
Of shared notions and inflections
Steering and guiding me (in truth).
Of all the graces
That give her wings
Her commitment to be
Behind myself in terms of needs
Altruistically making me first, in proof.
Warm embraces
Never with strings
Always propping me up
To help me ’drink from the cup’
Her solicitude always to warm me and soothe.
